Panorama Mountain Resort

Intimate, accessible, friendly, and laidback, Panorama has long been a favourite ski destination for families. The snowfall is dry and the days are sunny and warm. Here, 129 runs stretch across nearly 1,214 hectares (3,000 acres) of terrain with panoramic views of the Purcell and Rocky mountains. Panorama’s charming village is home to Canada’s largest outdoor slope-side hot pools, and the adventurous can go heli-skiing right from the village base.

  • Apr 2, 2018: “Sel f catered apartment, good snow, great facilities. Longest left wait 20 minutes. Generally 5 minutes. Definitely worth a visit”
  • Aug 19, 2018: “Made a quick trip to Panorama this August. My family and I took the chairlift up to the Mile 1 caf, had a beer, and then walked back down. If you plan on walking down be sure to wear good shoes as it is steep and changes from gravel to grass surfaces. It was exhausting but a lot fun.”
  • Jun 8, 2018: “We had an excellent time as a family skiing at Panorama. The staff were friendly and the slopes were in beautiful condition. Near the end of the day though the bottom of the hills were a bit icy.”
  • May 22, 2018: “Every time I get to Panorama I feel the stress leave my head! This place is beautiful and full of happy frendly people.”
  • May 14, 2018: “It is extremely expensive at panorama to play, eat and stay. So if you are making it a vacation there are better places to go”
  • Apr 8, 2018: “For a ski trip in April the conditions were very solid. The day started with a series of icy runs that later turned to slushy soup on the lower mountain. However the mid mountain and the summit were both in good shape especially the runs that had been recently groomed. We ordered our lift tickets online and were able to save 20%, an easy transaction and well worth the effort to save a few bucks. The lift lines were almost non-existent and there were times when we skied the lower slopes near the Sunbird Chair as if it was our own private mountain. It was great for late in the season and all runs were open (but many runs could only be described as marginal). Had a Latte and some pops on sun chairs at the summit restaurant and loved the beautiful views from the View of 1000 Peaks run. We would consider coming back earlier in the season as we only tackled about 30 runs in a day leaving 100 still to be explored. There was a good variety of runs with runs for our 4 year old to enjoy while also challenging our older daughter who is a competitive ski racer.”
