Panorama Mountain Resort

Intimate, accessible, friendly, and laidback, Panorama has long been a favourite ski destination for families. The snowfall is dry and the days are sunny and warm. Here, 129 runs stretch across nearly 1,214 hectares (3,000 acres) of terrain with panoramic views of the Purcell and Rocky mountains. Panorama’s charming village is home to Canada’s largest outdoor slope-side hot pools, and the adventurous can go heli-skiing right from the village base.

  • Jan 13, 2019: “The bad & the ugly: the ridiculously over-priced "General Store" on the hill. $5.50 for a loaf of bread, etc: (see photos), $14 for a package of bacon, $5.25 for a large bag of chips?!? We were 18 km from Invermere, not 1,800 km from the nearest town of any size. It is insulting to rip people off like this: not everyone who skis is made of money (certainly not us!). You should be ashamed of yourself. That being said, let's switch to the good: amazing place to ski, lots of runs that are both fun and challenging. It'd be nice if the Sunbird Chair was a high-speed quad, maybe someday? What can we say about the Snow Friends, who offer free guided tours? They were amazing - friendly and knowledgeable. We took advantage of this great feature and had a morning tour with Linda & Jenny (Sunday), a wonderful first introduction to Pano. On Monday morning we skied with Jennifer & Mike (Mike again in the afternoon); and on Thursday afternoon we got to enjoy Gib & Bruce, who regaled us with stories of the hill. A special shout-out to Mike who (on Wednesday) recognized my jacket and although he wasn't on official duty, showed us yet another great run that we hadn't discovered. All in all - insulting General Store prices aside - we really loved our week at Panorama and would love to go back, and would most definitely take advantage of the knowledge & expertise offered by the Snow Friends staff.” 0

The 1st time in 3 years that it feels like the level of service and whole village atmosphere has took a step backwards and feels like it’s lost its personality as a resort! Generic overpriced food for New Year’s Eve was a disappointment and choppers landing had no atmosphere and didn’t even have a full drinks menu to order from!! Cmon Pano it’s New Year’s Eve!! Still a great mountain for skiing and the T-bar, Summit hut and cliffhanger serve you proud! ” 1
  • Aug 19, 2018: “Made a quick trip to Panorama this August. My family and I took the chairlift up to the Mile 1 caf, had a beer, and then walked back down. If you plan on walking down be sure to wear good shoes as it is steep and changes from gravel to grass surfaces. It was exhausting but a lot fun.” 2
