Panorama Mountain Resort

Intimate, accessible, friendly, and laidback, Panorama has long been a favourite ski destination for families. The snowfall is dry and the days are sunny and warm. Here, 129 runs stretch across nearly 1,214 hectares (3,000 acres) of terrain with panoramic views of the Purcell and Rocky mountains. Panorama’s charming village is home to Canada’s largest outdoor slope-side hot pools, and the adventurous can go heli-skiing right from the village base.

  • Jan 13, 2020: “Beautiful setting and views, great snow, lots of runs to choose from, friendly and relaxed vibe, no lift lines and a small selection of good cafes and restaurants. We loved it! Lots of black runs, great selection of blues, not a lot of greens so best for intermediate and advanced skiers. We spent 2 weeks here and would have loved to have stayed longer! ” 0
  • Jan 12, 2020: “This ski resort offers a wide range of terrain for all abilities of skier/boarder. Multiple chairs help spread out the crowd so there is typically minimal waiting in line, especially mid-week. There are many options for lodging on the hill and several cafes. We always seem to find runs that have good snow even if not much fresh snow has fallen. Friendly lifties and staff. My only complaint is that while some areas that are out of bounds are roped off extremely well, others only have the smallest closed sign, so if you miss it you may end up in an area you’re not supposed to be if you try to chase some fresh tracks. ” 1
  • Jan 2, 2020: “Great mountain with lots of diversity. Snow here is generally good but lower areas can get slick. Vistas up top are incredible and there’s always some untracked snow in the glades in Tayton Bowl. The apres skiing is lack lustre but this isn’t Europe and if you have small kids it’s probably just right. The larger hot pools are pretty awesome and big enough for the kids to splash around without pestering anyone. We tend to come here just about every year due to the ski to door capability.” 2
