Rich with Kwakwakawakw Culture & History. The Umista Cultural Centre has the famed Potlatch Collection, taken by Canadian Government in 1922. U’mista also has summer programs from Tuesdays to Fridays July and August check their facebook site for schedules closer to summer months. The Alert Bay Library-Museum has many photographs of local history & items from early settlement years. The Ecological Park has boardwalk through a marsh and short trails surounding the park. Also 16 KM of Island trails that take you through our amazing forest. Art galleries, stroll long the boardwalk, Totem Poles, Big House.
