Canadian Wildlife Museum

We are open 9:30 am to 4:30 pm 7 days a week. If you are looking for things to do in Vernon, the Canadian Wildlife Museum is a kid friendly activity that the entire family will enjoy. Located just minutes north of Vernon B.C., we offer an outstanding arrangement of mounted Canadian wildlife in action scenes, which the average person would never see in the wild. Over 350 mounted specimens up to the size of a 2500 lb. bison, including over 125 birds of prey and over 115 different species of Canadian wildlife. There is also a butterfly/moth collection. There are 44 viewing stations, with over 220 different scenes of wildlife. The excellence in taxidermy workmanship and amazing artwork is not just in the mounted animals but also in the natural detailed dioramas. The museum is a great educational learning experience and a fun, kid friendly activity. Nowhere in Canada will you find a more outstanding selection of Canadian birds and animals.
