Early Music Vancouver presents J.S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio - Cantatas 1, 3, 6. This iconic programme and annual tradition will see four esteemed soloists, a 28-piece baroque orchestra, and the Early Music Vancouver Vocal Ensemble join together to fill the beautiful concert hall with sublime, festive sounds. Enjoy festively-decorated Trolleys equipped with karaoke machines, for guests' holiday singing enjoyment. Trolleys depart at 6:30 pm from the Canada Place. Upon pickup, guests will sing their way past the city lights of downtown before arriving at Bright Nights at Stanley Park. After being given some time to walk through the light display and take in Stanley Park's holiday magic, the tour will continue through local light displays such as Canuck Place and St. Paul's Hospital on the way to the second stop of the evening, at Van Dusen Botanical Garden's Festival of Lights. A donation to the Burn Fund is included in each ticket. Reservations required.

Carousel Theatre for Young People presents the uplifting musical adaptation of a classic Roald Dahl tale - James and the Giant Peach, at Granville Island's Waterfront Theatre. Enchanting lyrics from Tony-nominated songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul animate the story of young James Trotter who discovers a magical giant peach inhabited by fantastical creatures. From Director Carole Higgins with choreography by Kayla Dunbar, this heartwarming musical will be brought to life by a cast of local luminaries, including Patti Allan, Scott Bellis, Kaylee Harwood, Jonathan Winsby and Deb Williams.
