Don't look for any franchise fast food spots, but there's locally owned pizza, Greek, pub food, golf course fare, burgers and ice cream. While many eateries at "the Lake" are only open seasonally, there's no problem getting a good meal any time of year.
Big breakfasts and lunch specials feature homemade whole grain, organic breads from across the street at From the Hearth Bakery (6 Johnson Rd). Sometimes there's live music (no set schedule) and the deck is shady and popular.
Marina Patio
No contest here. The Christina Lake Marina Grill (173 Larson Rd) is the only waterfront patio on the lake. Drive up or dock the boat for a jolt of espresso, an ice cream cone or a famous marina burger.
Ice Cream and Burgers
No summer resort would be authentic without a couple of outstanding ice cream spots and burgers are essential summer fare. Stop by the Ice Creamery (1651 Christina Frontage Rd) for a yummy lick. But don't miss the Kool Treat (1953 Hwy 3) drive in, a Christina Lake icon, known for its traditional resort burgers (also chicken, halibut and veggie), mac and cheese and ice cream to go.
Family Fare
Everybody's welcome at the Cascade House Restaurant (1770 Sandner Frontage Rd), where Sunday is prime rib day and the Bent Grass Grill at the Christina Lake Golf Club (230 - 2nd Ave), which also serves an excellent green and fairway view from the patio.
Do-it-Yourself-Dining
Many people who come to Christina Lake stay in vacation homes, efficiency units, RVs or tents. Options for stocking up on provisions include the Huckleberry Mountain Market (1720 Sandner Frontage Rd) and Lakeside General Store (1819 Hwy 3). For baked goods stop by From the Hearth Bakery, and up the lake, visit Christina Lake Marina (173 Larson Rd). Wednesdays during the summer, shop for fresh fruits, vegetables and preserves at the Farmer's Market (Community Hall).
