The main access to visit Tumbler Ridge is via Highway 52 or Highway 29 from Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, or Fort St. John.

While Tumbler Ridge is most easily accessed by car, several options are available for getting around town. Tumbler Ridge also offers taxi service, and tour options include helicopters and motorboats. Enjoy walking about town along an excellent set of trails.

Car Travel

Drive to Tumbler Ridge along winding roads, through gently rolling valleys, past ridges, wetlands and forested areas. Travellers coming from southern British Columbia through Chetwynd will head southeast to Tumbler Ridge (94km/58mi) on Highway 29, and will pass over the Pine River and wind along the Sukunka River Valley past Gwillim Lake Provincial Park. Vehicle rentals are not available in town, but are found in surrounding communities.
