Logan Lake

Logan Lake sits at the top of a plateau surrounded by grasslands and rolling spruce- and pine-covered hills.

This geographical landscape is ideal for many outdoor activities, including ATV riding, hiking, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. Logan Lake itself serves at the centre of the community, around which gather commercial outlets, accommodations, restaurants, and campgrounds.

Outlying Area

Resorts, fishing lakes, and various trails are an easy 15–20 minute drive from town on roads extending along the high plateau. The Highland Valley Copper mining complex, the primary employer in the community, is a 10-minute drive south along 97D, the highway connecting Logan Lake to Ashcroft.

Climate and Weather

Logan Lake sits at an elevation of 1,067m/3,500ft, meaning summer days are warm and nights are cool. During the winter months, expect a fair amount of snow (an average of 121cm/4ft) and a lot of sunshine – excellent for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
