Bulkley Valley Brewery was created by Bikers, Skiers, Boarders, Fisherman, paddlers and people who really enjoy a good beer. Located in Smithers BC they realized that this small town had no “Apres” despite the fact that it was a natural wonderland. People had no place to gather, to tell stories, to see friends that they had not seen in awhile, to meet new friends. Most of all though Smithers had no Craft beer. Bulkley Valley was made for the people. A True Northern BC Brewery, no glitz no glamour just a nice cozy brewery with damn good beer and even better patrons.

The Exploration Place, Museum & Science Centre, is a Northern BC non-profit organization and registered charity whose mission is to preserve our local history and foster lifelong learning in the areas of science, technology heritage and culture. (*Please note we are closed Christmas Day and New Years Day.) The Little Prince Steam Engine operates seasonally starting on the May long weekend to the September Labour Day statutory holiday then operates on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend.

Bear Claw Lodge is home to the 15,000 square foot post-and-beam Bearclaw Lodge located on the world-famous Kispiox River (Containing the world’s largest strain of wild Steelhead). 22′ locally carved Totem Poles stand guard in the foyer behind the massive, three story river rock fireplace. Snowcapped Baldy Mountain dominates the view from the dining room windows, where our heliskiiers are only an 8 minute flight from. Bedroom sliding glass doors open to a stone walk balcony overlooking the Kispiox River. The scent of cedar and fresh homemade bread drifts through the lodge. It truly is, luxury in the wilderness.
