We offer doorstep delivery, basic instruction, trip planning and pick-up on your schedule. We also offer guided hikes, canoe trips on the lakes or ocean and custom speedboat tours. Guided trips are the best way to see the local area in a personalized way without all the prep, research and gear; we handle that stuff! We also do outdoor education, so we can add a lesson to your canoe rental, offer lake and ocean canoe courses and outdoor skills instruction to meet your needs. Explore town history with the coming of Alcan’s aluminum smelter in the 1950s, early valley settlement, and Haisla traditional arts and technology. Additional displays feature regional geology, flora, and fauna. The temporary gallery offers changing exhibitions of arts, culture, and history. Explore the natural and human history of Smithers and the surrounding Bulkley Valley at the Bulkley Valley Museum! Located in the historic Central Park Building, the Museum features engaging and informative temporary and permanent displays on local history and culture, including Driftwood Canyon fossils, and Smithers’ “gift to civilization” – the egg carton! Explore the streets of Smithers with our free Culture Crawl walking tour – your guide to historic buildings, gardens, and exhibits around the town. The Museum is fully accessible, has ample on-site parking for RVs, and has a kid-friendly scavenger hunt activity. The Bulkley Valley Museum is yours to discover.

An additional 2 private bedrooms with 17 ft. vaulted ceilings are available in the dining cabin.

We generally find our vintage pieces at estate sales and auctions, but always keep our eyes open for special items close to home as well.
Huble Homestead is a heritage site located at the base of the historic Giscome Portage. Originally a homestead and fur trading post, the site has been restored to its 1915 condition & is open to the public from May to October for guided tours, lunch and shopping in the General Store. Special events are held throughout the summer featuring blacksmithing and pioneer demonstrations, entertainment, games, and contests for the whole family. Huble Homestead is located 40 km north of Prince George, just off Hwy 97 on Mitchell Road. Admission is by donation.
