BRM offers cabin, canoe & kayak rentals; campground; camp store; B & B type cafe and museum. The proprietors have lived in the area for over 40 years and specialize in everything Bowron Lake. So whether you need help with your back-country paddling adventure, boat rentals, accommodations or local information, BRM is here to help. Family owned and operated, we are big enough to help, small enough to care.

Simple, comfortable accommodation used to access spectacular alpine hiking in Wells Gray Park. Composting toilets, solar power and hike in access only has made these huts the ultimate ecologically sensitive destination for over thirty years. All stays are fully catered and guided due to the remote nature of the terrain surrounding each cabin. Stay in one hut and explore – or hike from cabin to cabin for the ultimate Canadian wilderness adventure vacation.

Historically, Island Mountain Arts has sought to provide opportunities for the exhibition of professional artists in northern BC, for the benefit of both artists and northern communities. Relative to major urban centres, there have been minimal venues for exhibitions in the north, resulting in limited access to cultural activities for residents of small, isolated, or northern communities. Prior to 1988, Island Mountain Arts occasionally produced professional exhibitions by partnering with venues in Wells such as the Wells-Barkerville School, the Community Hall and the Wells Hotel, to exhibit artwork. With the restoration of the Hill Meat Market building in 1988 and creation of a public gallery, IMA was at last able to provide a secure professional venue for exhibits in Wells.

We offer guided winter and summer tours of the Bowron Lake Chain and the Cariboo Goldfields. We operate from our home base at the Frog on the Bog Gifts and Coffee in Wells.
