Celebrate all that British Columbia has to offer at this year's annual Tsawwassen Sun Festival at Winskill Park & the South Delta Recreation Centre. Attracting upwards of 8,000 people over this three-day period each year, the Tsawwassen Sun Festival is the largest community festival in South Delta. There's fun for the whole family including a parade, children's midway, antique fair, marketplace, slow pitch tournament, BMX air show, bingo, main stage entertainment, fireworks, food vendors and much more.

The 2013 Pride Parade travels through the downtown core, along Denman Street & ends at Sunset Beach Festival site. The parade entries include colourful floats, musical marching bands, community groups and 650,000 spectators. Pride takes over the streets & rainbows fill our city at the largest one day event in Vancouver. This is the must-see event of the summer! Celebrations continue during & after the Parade at the Sunset Beach Pride Festival. Join us in the park, listen to live music & enjoy the headliners on the Festival Stage. There will be booths with products and services & a private, beachfront beer garden.

Best of the West is an event where West Vancouver will be celebrating BC's best (timely with BC day). There will be 13 participating wineries and 13 participating restaurants. The restaurant will be in charge of creating a dish to go with the wine given by the winery. There will also be a competition that night. The guests will be asked to choose the best food and wine pairing of the evening. There will be a draw from the people who entered their vote. The winning person will receive a gift certificate from the winning restaurant for $100.

The annual Burnaby Blues & Roots Festival takes place in Burnaby's picturesque Deer Lake Park once again. As Metro Vancouver's premier blues and roots music event, the annual Blues & Roots festival features renowned musicians from across North America and around the world. Some of the headlining artists at this year's festival include k.d. Lang, John Mayall, Imelda May and Matt Anderson. The Burnaby Blues & Roots Festival is also a family-friendly event with a variety of children's activities. Tickets may be purchased by phone, online or at Shadbolt Centre for the Arts Box Office.

The Delta Community Animal Shelter is holding its annual animal expo; a fun, free community event that promotes animal safety and awareness of the shelter and animal care services available to pet owners. Multiple rescue groups with a variety of small animals will be out to educate the public about their organizations and the services they provide. The event will also feature a stage that will showcase dog trainers, dog bite prevention education for children, wildlife management and fun activities.

Aiming to spread the love and appreciation for Anime and Japanese Culture, we celebrate the culture of Japan and partake in cultural exchange over 3 fun filled days of activities, exhibits, panels and performances. These include art, animation, comics, costuming, cultural displays, dance, gaming, musical performances and much more.

Vintage cars will be on display along with a myriad of different types of handmade quilts while strolling downtown Ladner. There are over 10,000 visitors and more than 100 classic cares, polished and gleaming in the sunlight. The streets of Ladner Village are filled with entertainment, food and merchandise vendors.

Steveston Village and the waters of the Fraser River will come alive with the 4th Annual Steveston Dragon Boat Festival on August 24, 2013. More than 40 teams are expected to compete in fun and exciting races.
