Train travel offers a relaxing and worry-free way to experience the beauty of the Thompson Okanagan's lakes, mountains, orchards and vineyards.

Via Rail

VIA Rail's western transcontinental train, fondly referred to as "The Canadian," provides service between Vancouver and Toronto (Ontario) with a Thompson Okanagan stop in Kamloops; other stops include Jasper (Alberta), Edmonton (Alberta), Saskatoon (Saskatchewan), Winnipeg (Manitoba) and Sudbury (Ontario).

This is a scenic and relaxing way to experience the Thompson Okanagan and Canada. With 48 hours advance notice, the train will make requested stops in the region's towns of Ashcroft, Clearwater, Blue River and Valemount.
