The BC Wildlife Park is one of the most interactive wildlife experiences in BC. The park has bears, cougars, moose, wolves, birds of prey & many more throughout its 50 ha. Each day, activities include interactive displays, wildlife encounters & interpretive talks.

The Osoyoos Desert Centre is a nature interpretive centre where visitors can learn about desert ecology, habitat restoration & conservation of endangered ecosystems in the South Okanagan. The Centre offers visitors an opportunity to explore Canada's desert by taking a guided or self-guided tour along a 1.5 km wooden boardwalk. Visitors can also enjoy hands-on activities & exhibits in the interpretive centre or take a stroll through the native plant demonstration garden. We are located 3 km north of Osoyoos off Hwy 97 & are open annually from late April through early October.

Browse through the Opal Miners Gift Shop in Vernon & select a fine piece of opal jewellery or other opal item to remember your visit to the Okanagan. Imagine a place where the ground is covered with beautiful green and purple fluorite, and the land owners are friendly, so you can pick up all you want! Our heritage 1920's mine property hosts a safe and exciting adventure. Your guide will show you how to collect sparkling quartz crystal geodes and our famous yellow barite crystals, while enjoying the view from our mountain top above the Granby. We provide hammers & safety goggles. Please wear closed-toe shoes, rocks can be sharp. Rock Candy fluorite & barite specimens are prized by museums world wide!
