The Trans-Canada Highway goes through Abbotsford, and taking the Sumas exit (Exit 92) leads north on the Abbotsford-Mission Highway (Highway 11) to Mission. Mission is a 15-minute drive from the US border. The nearest border crossing is the Huntingdon-Sumas border crossing on Highway 11.
In Mission, car rentals are available at the Best Western Mission City Lodge (32281 Lougheed Hwy.). Cars can also be rented at numerous agencies in nearby Abbotsford. Due to Mission's mild coastal climate, driving is easy most of the year. Exercise caution if driving in snowy conditions during the winter.
