Beware of the Hallowe'en Train! Ride the steam train through ghostly scenes and past scary Hallowe'en characters at the museum. Children will enjoy trick or treating and making Hallowe'en crafts, and there are haunted houses for those who dare!

After 4:30 pm, costumed spooks will be mingling with the visitors and creeping up in unexpected places! The performers are provided by the South Island Musical Theatre Society. Spooky exhibits and live Hallowe'en music will take place in the main gallery.

Samson, the 1910 steam locomotive, leaves the station every 30 minutes except there will be no train at 4:30 pm.

Parksville Lioness Xmas Craft Fair. 5 hourly draws - 80 crafters throught the Main Hall - Foyer - Stage - Arbutus & Gary Oak rooms There are a wide variety of crafts to suit everyone's need from Pottery - Jewellery- Knits & Crochets - Baking - Jams & Jellies - Woodturning - Ironworks - Quilting just to name a few. Hot home made lunch prepared & served by the Lioness & Volunteers in the Cedar Room Dining area. All monies raised go toward supporting the many charities the Lioness support locally.

Gardening is fun! Qualicum Beach's 12th annual Seedy Saturday will be held in the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre on Saturday, February 1. In addition to Seedy Saturday's ever popular seed exchange, the event attracts over 50 vendors with gardening-related products & services. There are special speakers, dozens of free draws & several outstanding gardening prizes. Admission by donation.
