Smithers has an array of accommodation options.
Camping & RV
A municipal campground is just a few minutes drive from town or less than an hour by foot on the city's perimeter trail network. Tyhee Lake Provincial Park, a popular recreation spot with a sandy beach, is just 12km/7mi east of Smithers. Both sites accommodate tents and RVs. Several RV parks also in and close to downtown offer daytime parking or overnight sites with full hook-ups.
Cottages and B&Bs
Cozy cabins or cottages on nearby lakes are only a few minutes drive from town. Choices range from rustic wooden cabins with woodstoves to fancier, more modern lodging. Cabins rent through resort companies and private owners. Other options in and around town include guesthouses, inns, bed and breakfasts, motels and hotels.
Smithers doesn't have a luxury hotel, but it does offer an exceptionally luxurious lodge resting on a hillside on a 160-acre piece of land between the town of Smithers and the Babine Mountains Provincial Park. Exclusive fishing lodges are also in the area, and ski-in, ski-out cabins on Hudson Bay Mountain are available for rent.
