The winery's multi-storey 1393 sq m (15,000 sq ft) building complete with a 21 m (72 ft) tower dominates the view as you drive north along Naramata Rd. In late 1989, the Farm-gate Winery license was created. This opened the door for many small growers to start their own operations. Lang Vineyards was the first to receive such a license and opened in the summer of 1990. Lang Vineyards has since grown into one of leading wineries in the Okanagan.
