In the Windermere Valley, golf is more than mere recreation – it's a way of life.
There are no less than nine 18-hole and six 9-hole courses clustered near Invermere in this small corner of the Kootenay Rockies.
Greywolf at Panorama
Designed by architect Doug Carrick, Greywolf Golf Course has received many accolades since it opened in 1999. In 2005, the "Cliffhanger" won Canadian Golf website, SCOREGolf's "Golfer's Choice" award for the best par 3 hole in British Columbia. Golf Digest ranks this course in the top 10 in Canada and in the top 100 outside of the US.
Built right next to the Panorama Mountain Resort ski hill, Greywolf's alpine setting is simply amazing. Looking as though it has been literally carved out of the mountainside, the course has an elevation differential of 122m/400ft between the highest and lowest points.
