Celebrate and experience culture, the arts, sports and so much more. British Columbia hosts festivals and events that will inspire you while showcasing the very best the province offers.

September Highlights:

Tap your feet and sway to the beat of the Pender Harbour Jazz Festival from Sept. 16-18. Watch renowned artists play open air-concerts and intimate shows while enjoying the end of the summer on the Sunshine Coast.

Celebrate beer, bikes and Kamloops culture at Brewloops. Events across the city feature some of the best food, beer and mountain biking in world from Sept. 28 - Oct. 2.

Every September, bears feast on spawning salmon before hibernating, making it an ideal time for bear watching. Bear watching tours across the province let you see black and grizzly bears in their natural environment. For something unique, head to the Great Bear Rainforest to find the elusive Kermode (spirit) bear; a white bear only found BC.

October Highlights:

Put your blanket down on one of Tofino’s fameed beaches and watch some of Canada’s best female surfers tame huge waves during Queen of the Peak, Women’s Surf Championships: Sept. 30 – Oct 2.

Head to the Okanagan, Canada’s most acclaimed wine region, and celebrate the grape harvest with over 150 events at the Okanagan Fall Wine Festival from Sept. 29 – Oct 6.

Beer lovers rejoice! October is BC Craft Beer Month and with well over 100 craft breweries and brew pubs there is a lot to celebrate. The festival features events across the province including the BC Beer Awards; celebrating the finest beers in the province.

Sip and savour the best of Salt Spring Island, a foodie’s paradise. Farmers, chefs, brewers and vintners come together to host culinary events at the Salt Spring Harvest Food & Drink Festival, from Oct. 15 – 16.

October is the perfect time to spend the day cruising BC’s magnificent coast on a whale watching tour. Hop aboard anything from a high-speed zodiac to a luxury sailboat on a variety of interpretive tours that offer the opportunity to see these magnicent mammals and other marine animals.

November Highlights

One of the best chances you will ever have to see bald eagles happens in Agassiz at the Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival on November 19 – 20. Thousands of these majestic birds come to the area each year to feast on local salmon.

Showcasing the best food and wine from Whistler and beyond, Cornucopia features farm to table dinners, food and wine pairings with esteemed chefs, seminars and after parties, Nov. 10-20.
