We're closing down Bernard Avenue in downtown Kelowna for the biggest Block Party in the Okanagan! This free community event will fuse culture, art, fashion, food, shopping and entertainment together, attracting thousands to experience the heart of Kelowna. We'll have vendors lining the streets with great deals, yummy treats, children's activities, dancing, music and lots more! Everyone is invited to sing, move and groove with live entertainment on street stages and fun outdoor activities for the whole family.

7th Annual Elko Country Festival of Entertainers; music, humour, poetry and story tellers. 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm performances at the Elko Community Hall with full buffet dinner at 5:15 pm. Saturday Jamm session and social evening 9:00 pm-12 midnight. Pancake breakfast on Sunday 9:00 am-11:00 am followed by Cowboy (Entertainment) Church. This mountain Half Marathon is a unique race on the circuit, & will be your most memorable. Starting near treeline, climb over 2000 feet to the summit of Babcock Mountain. There claim your reward in the spectacular open terrain at the top of the mountain as you begin the descent home. The skyline to the west is a tableau of rugged limestone and snow of the Northern Rockies in summer. The Emperor's Challenge is designed for all comers.

Verano 2013 is a two day exhibition and sale of works by some of the best artisans in the Okanagan Valley. The show and sale of handmade works by creative professional metal sculptors, silversmiths, painters, fabric artists, clay sculptors will be held at the farmers' market garden space in downtown Osoyoos, after the August long weekend. Public general admission to the show is free.

Annual Lakeside Event promises to be yet another exciting edition of Canada's longest running light aviation meet. This fly-in is great fun for spectators and pilots alike. Hang gliders and Paragliders take off from Mt. Swansea and descend to targets on the beach and in the water beside the Lakeside Pub on beautiful Lake Windermere. There is also an aerobatic contest for Paraglider pilots above Lake Windermere.

Whether you are a serious competitor or a walk-in-the-park person, Loop the Lake is the event for you, your friends & your family. Complete as much of the course as you choose, at your own pace & comfort level. This 17th annual event welcomes walkers, runners, strollers & the whole family. The Lakeside Splashdown event involves paraglider & hang-glider pilots launching from Mount 7 in Invermere & attempting to land in a lake target for prizes. Enjoy 2 wonderful lakeside events.
