Visitors to the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre will experience the Canadian premiere of the groundbreaking Sea Monsters Revealed: The Exhibition. Through a polymer preservation technique, also known as plastination, Sea Monsters Revealed will unveil some of the largest sea creatures ever to be featured on dry land. Visitors will get a unique and authentic inside look at the bodies of some of the most elusive aquatic life, including a 5-metre long mako shark, a predatory Humboldt squid and a metre-long ocean sunfish. The exhibition will take visitors on a journey to discover how these mysterious creatures have been portrayed in myth and legend and learn the truths about them revealed through scientific research.

This year's festival will also feature enhanced educational offerings including a new Artist Talk with award-winning Haida artist Terri-Lyne Williams-Davidson.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Alpine Skiing World Championships is the first event of its kind to be held in Canada for either alpine or para-alpine skiing. The 10 day event will see athletes from over 30 countries compete in five para-alpine disciplines (Downhill, Super G, Super Combined, Giant Slalom & Slalom) and a team competition.

The IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships, along with the Winter Paralympic Games are the most prestigious level of international competition in Paralympic Alpine Skiing.
