Victoria-based artist Robert Youds' light installation, For Everyone a Sunset, draws upon the architectural vernacular of downtown Vancouver. Youds references the urban surroundings by using their associated materials-aluminium framework, salvaged glass, LED lighting-to construct a sculptural query that creates a space for audiences to contemplate the urban experience.

Vancouver Art Gallery Offsite is located on West Georgia Street between Thurlow and Bute Streets in downtown Vancouver.

You will drive through eerie locations such as Stanley Park & the winding roads of Shaughnessy & stop to visit Mountain View Cemetery & the autopsy room of the Vancouver Police Museum where over 15,000 autopsies have been performed.

See the Canadian West through the sketches and paintings of Robert David Symons. He was an artist, writer and naturalist. Born in England in 1898, he was the son of prominent artist. Symons immigrated to Canada in 1914, at the age of 16, to be a cowboy on a ranch in Saskatchewan. After serving in the First World War, he returned to the Canadian west. He lived near Fort St. John from 1943 to 1961 first as a game warden and then as a rancher. He painted, worked with horses, wrote books, and was an advocate for conserving nature. This exhibition was curated by Heather Smith of the Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery.
