Golden Sound Festival line-up is 16 hours (12pm - 4am) of high energy on your feet dancing to continuous stage performances. Nestled in the Columbia Valley at the base of the Rocky Mountains as they tower above; and just steps from the meandering Columbia River sets the stage for a fantastic music experience. The festival focus is to feature live music acts from the Western Canadian rock, funk, indi rock genres. The Mount Robson Marathon will be an "out-and-back" run on the world famous Berg Lake Trail. The route passes through several different environmental zones and has its turn-around point on the shores of magnificent Berg Lake, truly making this marathon a one of a kind experience. The route is actually 46 km, or about 4 km longer than a true marathon. The full marathon has an elevation gain of 825 m (2,700 ft) over the 21 km to the turn-around point. Nelson's Queen City Cruise, the city of Nelson's only car show, has continued to grow since the first cruise in 2003. Car collectors from far & wide find the appeal to show off their cars in the heritage city. Nelson offers big city cosmopolitan dining, unique shopping & lodging in the beautiful setting on Kootenay Lake. Saturday morning begins the show on historic Baker Street in downtown Nelson. Trophy presentations are at approximately 3:30 pm, followed by a poker run & later on in the evening, a rooftop dance at the Nelson Parkade. It's fun for the whole family.

A 50 km ultra in clover leaf design that can be entered either solo or as a team. Course includes mountain bike trails, high alpine trails and backcountry trails. Super challenging, super fun!

The Mountain Run 16 km starts in the village and follows switchback trails to mid-mountain and back down. The first female and male to reach the top aid station will be crowned King and Queen of The Mountain and will win a great prize!

The 5 km walk & kids race will be on the nordic ski trails.

18th Annual English Car Affair in the Park

At 10:00 am precisely the skirl of the pipes will herald the start of this very popular event. Over a hundred classic & vintage British automobiles will festoon Fort Rodd Hill's open meadow. Sponsored by the Old English Car Club of BC, this event delights connoisseurs and intrigue newcomers. Each year, vehicles of a selected marque are showcased under the streamers of the maypole.

A Gran Fondo (bike ride) bicycle event is a mass participation event which challenges riders to a long distance. This particular event will offer 50 km, 100 km and 150 km distances, all beginning at the St Eugene Resort. The route will take cyclists from the Resort through back-roads to the Rails to Trails, then north to Kimberley, 100 and 150 km riders will continue north to Wasa and then on to Fort Steele, 100 km riders will head to St Eugene, 150 km riders will take a loop along the Bull River before returning.
