This FREE cultural festival will kick off with fun, colourful traditional dance performances, fashion shows and entertaining Muay Thai (Thai martial arts) matches by renowned champions.

Watch cooking and carving demonstrations by award winning Thai chef and culinary experts from Bangkok, and savour bite-size offerings by local 'Thai Select Cuisine' restaurants. The fun continues with food sampling, children's activities, games and prize draws, exhibition on Amazing Thailand and more.

Based on the classic 1900 play Reigen by Arthur Schnitzler (better known by its French title La Ronde), The Fire Of Desire updates the setting to present day Hong Kong, where five men and five women (all played by the same two actors) explore their frustrations and perspectives on love, marriage, and sex in ten different scenes, each scene taking place in a room with a different man and woman.

This year marks the 19th Annual Fat Tire Festival. This event takes place every year in memory of Cam Alexander, a friend and avid cyclist. He lost his life tragically while riding his bike 18 years ago. Cam, whose smile was only surpassed by his appetite, was loved and respected by us so much that it only seemed fit to throw a party for bicycles. A festival was called for. The Fat Tire Festival is now an annual event for kids from 2-72 to enjoy.

Beginning with registration Friday evening at Memory Lane Custom and Classic Auto Parts/Cap-it Store. There will be free hot dogs and refreshments for all participants who attend, and a cruise afterwards.

On Saturday, registration will be at the Maple Park Mall, and then a cruise will leave that location at noon, ending up at A & W north.

Saturday evening the car club will be hosting it's famous steak dinner and dance at the Billy Barker Hotel and Show Lounge, only 100 tickets will be available, so get yours early.

On Sunday, the car show will be on Reid St in downtown Quesnel from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. Trophies and awards will follow shortly after 3:00 pm.
