The coolest summer event is the Mile 0 Summer Cruise. Each year Dawson Creek's Mile 0 downtown section is blocked off to hold a show and shine of 250+ rides from all over the Peace River District and guests from all over BC and Alberta or further.

Shaping up to be the largest cruise to date, the 20th anniversary of Summer Cruise will feature prizes (383 Chev stroker Engine, set of 4 wheels and tires, a vacation voucher and cash), food (A great Steak BBQ Banquet for Participants), cool rides from all over the Peace Country and beyond.

The weekend kicks off with the Homelife Realty Hill Climb, an exciting dash to the top of Buena Vista Avenue in the heart of White Rock. The second event features the Choices Markets Criterium, where racers reach speeds of up to 70 km/hr as they race on a 1-km circuit that loops from Johnston Road, around five corners, past City Hall and back around White Rock Elementary. Hot July Nights is the annual car & motorcycle show in 100 Mile House, a free family event held in our beautiful Centennial Park. More than 200 vehicles & motorcycles are expected. Registration is free or for donation to a local charity. There are major prize draws for registered participants including a Chevy small block crate engine valued at $3200, four $500 gift certificates & one $250 gift certificate. July 11 features a scenic cruise in the area with the 100 Mile House Cruzers Car Club. July 12 is early registration & activities. The Show 'n Shine opens in the park on Sunday, July 13 at 10:00 am & ends at 2:00 pm. We have food vendors, live music & activities for everyone. Handicapped parking on-site is available for spectators.
