Whistler Film Fest
Every December, Whistler rolls out the red carpet for the Whistler Film Festival. More than 80 films are shown during the event, which is one of Canada's leading film festivals. There are also big awards are handed out to some lucky filmmakers.
Always held on the first weekend in December, the Whistler Film Fest embraces the wintery mountain ski resort setting. A Celebrity Challenge ski race is part of the festival entertainment, which also includes celebrations, tributes, awards, and a free outdoor screening.
Whistler Children's Art Festival
The Whistler Children's Art Festival gives kids a chance to express creativity in a weekend at Whistler Creekside (held annually in July). Musicians and children's entertainers create a lively atmosphere for budding artists to try fine arts, crafts, theatre, multi-media, dance and music. This popular event has been held for more than 25 years.

Maurice Young Millennium Place
Visit the landmark Maurice Young Millennium Place to experience the pulse of Whistler's cultural community. Designed as the cultural focal point for this vibrant community, the landmark Maurice Young Millennium Place (MY Place) is where both residents and visitors gather for community activities.
MY Place hosts concerts, festivals, plays, lectures, music, dance, childresn's shows and more. Visit Wihelmsen Hall for a jazz series or a chamber music performance.
In addition to its role as an arts and cultural venue, MY Place houses a daycare centre, meditation room, teen centre and chapel. The MY Place theatre doubles as a setting for Warren Miller's extreme skiing films. MY Place is located in Whistler Village.
