Select from golf courses in an urban setting by Victoria in the south, and courses near the wilderness of Campbell River in the north. Golf by the sparkling beaches of Parksville on the east coast or explore courses near the seaside villages of the Pacific Rim on the west.
Golf in Victoria and the Cowichan Valley
Victoria is home to several fantastic golf courses, including Bear Mountain Golf Resort, which hosted the Telus World Skins Game in 2010, and Olympic View Golf Club, a Golf Digest 4-star rated course with waterfalls, a dozen tranquil lakes and panoramas of the Olympic Mountains.
Or drive north to the Cowichan Valley and play a round at courses such as Arbutus Ridge Golf Club and Duncan Meadows Golf Course. After a game, unwind at one of the valley's wineries.

Golf Oceanside
Two hours north of Victoria is a group of communities that make up the scenic beachfront "Oceanside" region. Fairwinds Golf Course in Nanoose Bay was designed by Les Furber. This challenging course is offers ocean views and is uniquely situated in a rain shadow, which makes for a very favourable climate.
Parksville's Morningstar Golf Course, also designed by Les Furber, is a Golf Digest 4-star course that's popular with local wildlife. And Qualicum Beach is home to Pheasant Glen Golf Resort, which has a spectacular view of Mount Arrowsmith. The course’s signature 17th hole finishes with a tiered green surrounded by water.
Scenic Mid-Island Golf Courses
Crown Isle Resort near Courtenay sits at the foot of the Beaufort Mountains, which are topped by the Comox Glacier. In Campbell River, the magnificent Storey Creek Golf Club was awarded an impressive 4.5 stars by Golf Digest. This course is set amidst old- and second-growth forest.

- The golf season runs approximately from April to October, though the region’s mild climate enables many courses to stay open all year long
- Tee times should be booked in advance of arrival, especially in July and August.
- Many courses have a dress code in effect, so check ahead with the course or resort.
