The Vancouver, Coast & Mountains region becomes a veritable winter wonderland each year, with ample mountain tops and heaps of fresh powder snow.

The region welcomed the world for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Whistler was the official host mountain resort, and Cypress Mountain hosted freestyle skiing and snowboard events.

Winter sports buffs can hit the downhill slopes or cross-country and snowshoe trails of Manning Provincial Park and Hemlock Resort. Mt Seymour, Grouse Mountain and Cypress Mountain each feature an array of runs sure to satisfy the most discerning skier or snowboarder, and are just a short drive from Vancouver. Skating rinks and snow-tubing hills at ski resorts are another way to enjoy the snowy winter weather.

Or follow the trail of skiers, boarders and snowmobilers from around the world to Whistler Blackcomb. While in Whistler, arrange to go cat-skiing, heli-skiing or snowshoeing for an added adventure.
