The rolling landscape and numerous waterway shorelines of Quesnel and the surrounding Cariboo Chilcotin Coast region provide great terrain for camping.

Wake to the call of the wild lakeside, enjoy the conveniences of provincial park camping, or experience pioneer history while staying in a miner's tent at Cottonwood House. Cabins, full-service campgrounds, and RV sites are available at various locations in and around Quesnel.

Camping close to Quesnel

Robert's Roost campground is located 8km/5mi south of Quesnel on the shores of Dragon Lake. Open from mid-April to mid-October, the campground features full service sites, a playground on groomed grounds, laundry and coin showers. In addition to a boat launch site, the campground has fishing boats, kayaks, paddle boats and canoes.

For those flying to Quesnel by private plane, free tenting (including picnic tables, fire pit, and toilets) is available at the Quesnel Regional Airport.
