New Denver in the Slocan Valley is marked by a varied geography of mountain terrain and glacier-fed waterways.

The area is excellent for a number of outdoor activities, including hiking, cycling, camping, kayaking, fishing, and wilderness and wildlife viewing. This natural lure is augmented by a rich culture and history, which can be experienced at a number of historic and heritage sites.
