McBride and the surrounding Robson Valley, is home to many artists and craftspeople – musicians, painters, woodworkers, knitters, and more.

McBride also has several luthiers, specializing in intricate stringed instruments, such as classical guitars, steel guitars, bouzoukis, and mandolins.

Walking Tour

Take a walking of McBride to view local art. Throughout the town fire hydrants feature colourful hand-painted images. As well, locally commissioned murals depict scenes from McBride's culture and history, and virtually every business in town has art-adorned walls. Kids will enjoy McBride's Scale Model Solar System. (Pick up a map at the Visitor Centre.) Lines are painted along Main Street that are in proportion to the distances between planets. The sun is located at the first lamppost in front of the train station.
