Professionally guided, all inclusive, day- and multi-day kayak adventures in Desolation Sound, the Copeland Islands and Okeover Inlet. Sea Kayaking is a ‘fun-tastic’ way to explore and two of British Columbia’s most unique and scenic kayak destinations, Desolation Sound Marine Park and the Copeland Islands Marine Park. Quite often we will be followed by nosy seals, playful river otters and sometimes even by an impressive sea lion. With a bit of luck we could encounter a pod of Killer Whales or even a Humpback Whale in Desolation Sound or Salish Sea. Throughout the seasons many bird species choose this area to forage or breed. Frequent sightings of bald eagles, various ducks and shore-birds are not uncommon. We focus on SMALL GROUPS and personal attention. Open from the last weekend in April to the last weekend in September this Farmers’ Market offers a unique experience of a permenant outdoor marketplace including vendor booths, a food barn, a bandshell for local music and a miniature train that runs during the Sunday market. You will find fresh, local, organically grown produce, meats and eggs as well as fresh baking and preserves. There’s plenty of ready to eat food to keep you satisfied as you listen to live music, enjoy local craftspeople and relax around the stage or the children’s sandbox. For a relaxing experience to help you get a good sense of what Powell River community feels like, join us from May-Sept on Saturdays from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm and Sundays from 12:30 pm – 2:30pm at 4365 McLeod Road. Plenty of parking available including 10 handicap spots close to the entrance.

Artique is a co-op gallery of close to 30 Powell River working artists and craftspersons who collectively display their work for sale.
