Bulkley Valley Brewery was created by Bikers, Skiers, Boarders, Fisherman, paddlers and people who really enjoy a good beer. Located in Smithers BC they realized that this small town had no “Apres” despite the fact that it was a natural wonderland. People had no place to gather, to tell stories, to see friends that they had not seen in awhile, to meet new friends. Most of all though Smithers had no Craft beer. Bulkley Valley was made for the people. A True Northern BC Brewery, no glitz no glamour just a nice cozy brewery with damn good beer and even better patrons.

Our guest house is located in Rose Harbour, Kunghit Island; very deep within Gwaii Haanas National Park, Marine Reserve and Haida Heritage Site. Only accessible by floatplane! We provide 3 meals a day, offering authentic Thai cuisine being our specialty. We cook mostly with organic food and also from our large garden. Our guesthouse is rustic but comfortable with wood heat, communal shower and composting toilet. We don’t have more then 8 guests at the time unless your group is more then 8! Our tour packages include accommodation, meals, and transportation by floatplane to/from Queen Charlotte Village. We also offer optional guided boat tours and sea kayak rentals in the area surrounding our location. Recommended sites to visit by boat are Ninstints/Skanggwaii (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Cape St-James, Rose Inlet, and many others nearby locations. We speak English, French, Thai and Lao. Through the Haida Heritage Centre at Kay Llnagaay we celebrate the living culture of the Haida. Through our language, art and stories we share our relationship with the land and sea that which shapes, nourishes and sustains us. Kay Llnagaay protects and fosters Haida culture by reaffirming our traditions and beliefs, encouraging artistic expression, and serving as a keeper of all that we are. Kay Llnagaay is a place for the Haida voice to be heard. The Haida Gwaii Museum opened in 1976 and continues to build an international reputation for showcasing Haida historical and contemporary art, All-Island artists and an outstanding collection of objects, artifacts and scientific material culture. The Museum is committed to encouraging and facilitating creative dialogue and exploring a more holistic and critical view of the multiple and diverse ways of understanding Haida Gwaii Ã¢ÂÂ home to one of the most prominent Northwest Coast First Nations cultures (Haida), and rich ecosystems in Canada.
Fishing, Hiking, Bed & Breakfasts
While staying at the lodge enjoy wildlife art, big game trophies, wildlife viewing, fishing, quiet evenings, snowmobile tours, big screen television, nature hikes, home cooked meals, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, billiards table. Almost every evening you will see rocky mountain elk as well as white tail and mule deer. Take a short walk and you may even see stone sheep. There are many trails throughout the ranch and surrounding area for hiking and cross country skiing. The over two acre lawn provides lots of room for children to stretch their legs and play.Bed and BreakfastEnjoy a relaxing stay at our beautiful cedar lodge. We have four guest rooms with room for up to 12 guests. Each room has a queen bed as well as at least one twin bed. All four rooms share two bathrooms. There is a billiards table and TV along with a large selection of movies to enjoy, in the winter times we have a nice wood stove to warm you while you relax for the evening. Breakfast is served every day on your time schedule. Lunch and Supper are also available with prior notice. We are open Year Around but are petty busy during our hunting season August 1 through Oct 15.
