The Revelstoke Dam Visitor Centre now open until September 2, 2019. The guided and self-guided tours are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Revelstoke Dam Visitor Centre offers a wide range of exhibits and activities for all ages. Come enjoy our interactive displays, First Nations gallery, theatre and gift shop. Learn how the Revelstoke project was built, how water is turned into energy, and don’t miss out on an elevator ride to the lookout located atop the massive, 175-metre high concrete dam.

Yasodhara Ashram is a yoga retreat and study centre founded by Swami Sivananda Radha in 1963, in Kootenay Bay, British Columbia, Canada. Set in the beautiful mountains of southeastern British Columbia, we invite people of all ages and backgrounds to pursue their self-development and discover the promise of yoga. We offer a wide range of yoga programs year round from a three-month intensive, to private retreats, teacher certifications and introductions to yoga. Our popular Service programs are for those interested in learning about Karma Yoga, or the yoga of selfless service, our main spiritual practice. Day visitors are welcome to drop-in for lunch and a self-guided tour, or to come for our popular Taste of the Ashram program. White Water Rafting in Revelstoke: The class 3+ Illecillewaet River has big, splashy waves and rapids, but is not too technical or high-risk, its a great trip for beginners, but thrilling enough for those who’ve rafted before. The Resort has two high-speed quad chairs, an eight-passenger gondola and a dedicated beginner slope with Magic Carpet conveyor lift. Revelstoke Mountain Resort is the only resort offering lift accessed skiing and snowboarding, Cat Skiing and Heli Skiing directly from one village base.

Grizzly Bear Ranch is a small specialist lodge in the heart of British Columbia that offers active bear-viewing and wilderness holidays. Using trails that we have made ourselves, we take you far from the tourist crowds to hike the alpine, ancient cedar rainforests and view wild bears. Our groups are tiny – typically 2 to 4 guests with one expert guide. Each evening you will return to a luxury riverside cabin with its own wood-burning stove and our fresh local table. We are also specialists in animal tracking, are on the cutting edge of bear conservation, are experienced naturalists and are politically active in saving bears and bear habitat.

An in-home gallery and studio featuring the work of multi-media artist Val van der Poel. Visitors will see a variety of original art and, if they want they can have a mini-lesson in watercolour, acrylics, paper quilling or Alphabet Art. The artist also offers private and group lessons as well as Watercolour Painting Parties – please book ahead.

Touchstones Nelson: Museum of Art and History is a multi-faceted organization with a history museum exhibition, regional archives, two contemporary gallery spaces and a fabulous gift shop. The history museum features an introduction to the Sinixt and Ktunaxa nations, culture and perspectives, the history of European exploration and the challenges of trade and travel routes, and how various industries such mining, transportation, hydroelectricity affected the area and the creation of the Queen City. Our galleries rotate exhibitions eight times per year and feature everything from contemporary art and pop culture, to fine craft and design, to local architectural and social history Touchstones exhibitions connect to this areas creative energy and rich heritage.
