Throughout the 2019 season, the Cranbrook Farmer’s Market will host a variety of performers, musicians and fun activities for the whole family. This takes place alongside a diverse array of local food producers, growers and artisans offering their hand-crafted, home-made, locally-grown and produced items. The Cranbrook Farmer’s Market has become so much more than a place to shop. It’s a place to connect with friends, to celebrate local business and farming, and to stroll with no set agenda. It is a place to learn things and meet people. The market provides an opportunity to surround yourself in Kootenay culture and enjoy the abundance of flavours, textures and talents it has given root to.
Ranked in Canada’s Top 100 Courses, the Wildstone Golf Course is the first Black Knight Course by Gary Player Design to be built on Canadian soil. This incredibly well conditioned and player friendly course is set on the rolling highlands above the city of Cranbrook, BC where hole after hole golfers are treated to stunning postcard views of the Canadian Rockies.The course plays from 7,127 yards from the back tees and 4,947 from the front. The attention to detail in the design of the course is obvious. With the combination of our fantastic horses, fun, knowledgeable, personable guides/wranglers, small or big groups, and the stunning beauty of the scenery, what more can one ask for? Our guests have a passion for horses, want to be out with nature, and have an adventurous side. It is the excitement of crossing a river, riding “the man from snowy river,” going thru old growth, river bottoms, crossing slides and alpine meadows, just riding in the mountains and doing it with a strong animal beneath you. Museums & Heritage Sites
The Cranbrook History Centre is a museum and archives dedicated to the research, preservation, and restoration of the history of Cranbrook and the surrounding area. Located in beautiful downtown Cranbrook, the History Centre offers something of interest for visitors of all ages. Also known as the Canadian Museum of Rail, the Centre is also home to the Trans-Canada Limited, a 1929 luxury train, as well as many other restored Canadian trains.
