Revelstoke Mountain Resort receives 30-40 feet of annual snowfall, covering 1,263 hectares (3,121 acres) of alpine bowls, steeps, glades, and groomers with a descent of 1,713 vertical meters (5,620 feet) – the most in North America. The Resort has two high-speed quad chairs, an eight-passenger gondola and a dedicated beginner slope with Magic Carpet conveyor lift. Revelstoke Mountain Resort is the only resort offering lift accessed skiing and snowboarding, Cat Skiing and Heli Skiing directly from one village base.

Whether you come for the diverse ski terrain or for the variety of summer activities, Sun Peaks is a haven for recreational fun in a three-mountain alpine area. Located in the Interior of British Columbia, Sun Peaks boasts Canadas second largest ski area with 4,270 acres of terrain. With 6 meters of light, dry snow falling annually and over 2,000 hours of sun each year, guests enjoy spectacular winter conditions for downhill skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing. Off the slopes, more winter adventure awaits with dog-sledding tours, snowmobile and snowshoe tours, horse-drawn carriage rides and more. Summer at Sun Peaks offers just as much recreational fun. Sun Peaks is home to BCs highest elevation golf course. Welcome to the Golden Nordic Ski Club (GNSC)! We hope you will enjoy the ski season and invite you to share your stories and pictures of cross country skiing and snowshoeing at Dawn Mountain Nordic Centre and at the Golden Golf Course trails. Dawn Mountain Nordic Centre (adjacent to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, 13 km outside of Golden) offers 33 km of groomed classic and skate skiing trails for all levels of ability. Dawn Mountain was the selected site for the National Masters Championships for 2010, hosting skiers from across the country. With over 500 members last season, the club has seen a steady growth in membership and in day users. The Golden Golf Course ski trails are closer to town (about a 6 km drive) and these easier trails are strictly track set for classic skiing.

Snowshoeing is a great way to explore winter landscapes. We cater to a wide variety of age groups, fitness and experience levels. If you have never been snowshoeing, fear not, if you can walk you can snowshoe. Join us on a guided tour through beautiful snowshoe designated trails in the sub-alpine forests of the Selkirk Mountains. Tour includes snowshoes, tea, snacks and a gondola ride.
