The village pool is located in the back of the building. The centre also has public restrooms and wifi. The Winemaker Homan brings to City Side Winery an innovative and uncompromising view to winemaking and hospitality along with an inspirational leadership, a charismatic character and down-to-earth personality with a contagious sense of humour. Although an incredible opportunity to work along one of the world-famous Masters of Wine, Markus Del Monego, introduced Homan to new horizons in the art of winemaking, it was his unconventional love of wine and exceptional dedication that inspired him to enrich his scientific backbone. Between working for wine merchants of Hamburg and training in spectacular luscious green valleys of Mosel and Baden-Baden, Homan complemented his “Hospitality and Hotel Management” degree in Germany with a “Sommelier” certificate and later moved to UK in pursuit of a degree in “Viticulture and Oenology.” From opulent British lounges and luxury German hotels to business management and vintage work in world-class wineries in UK, Greece, Germany, Canada and USA amongst others, Homan’s international award winning experience shaped his vision and defined a meticulous framework for his style of winemaking. In 2016, Homan along with his wife, Mina, founded City Side Winery in Mount Pleasant, one of the most promising neighborhoods near downtown Vancouver, where they passionately follow their dream of making signature wines defined by the quality benchmarks of world icon wineries.
