The Deep Bay Marine Field Station provides many learning opportunities for the public. We have aquariums and touch tanks that help to interpret the local marine environment to our visitors. A visit to the station can be quite an interactive experience! We have both guided and self-guided tours that provide interpretation on several themes along with occasional public lectures and special events.

The Penticton & District Community Arts Council is located inside the historic Leir House Cultural Centre. Visitors are invited to tour the house while taking in the current art exhibition. The arts council offers fun art classes each month and has locally made items for sale in the gift shop. There are artists in residence to visit and it is also the home of the Penticton Potters’ Guild and the Penticton Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts. Learn about B.C. freshwater fish, recreational fishing and hatchery operations at our self-guided visitor centre. Guided tours and birthday parties can be organized- please contact us for more information. Free rod and tackle loan is available from this location. The Visitor Centre is open everyday from 9.00am – 3.00pm. The outdoor fishing ponds are open to the public May 1st to October 31st from dawn to dusk.
