It is hard to resist the laid-back lifestyle of Lake Country. Orchards and vineyards are surrounded by rolling hills and highland plateaus and freshwater lakes are found around every bend with unparalleled accessibility to aquatic recreation.

Lake Country is located in the southern interior of the Okanagan Valley, in between the main city centres of Vernon and Kelowna. The area is comprised of four small neighborhoods: Oyama, Winfield, Carr’s Landing and Okanagan Centre, with a total population of 11,708.

Over 10,000 years ago glacial activity created the string of lakes in the area. The mountain river erosion and flooding formed nutrient-rich and fertile soil, ideal for the orchards and vineyards that scatter the landscape. The mountain ranges of the Monashees to the east and the Cascades to the west help create the area’s semi-arid climate.
