Kimberley offers stunning scenery, including mountain vistas and garden views.
There are beautiful local gardens with easy access from the downtown pedestrian Platzl. In summer, see thousands of blooms in the Cominco Gardens or spend an afternoon dining and walking around Nina’s Hillside Garden and miniature village.
Local mining company Cominco created beautiful Cominco Gardens in 1927 to showcase the benefit of their Elephant Brand fertilizer. Later, the gardens were given as a gift to the City of Kimberley. Cominco Gardens is still a popular attraction today with tens of thousands of colourful, blooming flowers. The best time to visit this tranquil setting is June, July and August. The gardens are located just minutes from downtown Kimberley, off of 4th Avenue.
