Outdoor enthusiasts seeking mountain adventures should head to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.

The resort offers high-alpine and mountain-top hiking trails, many of which open to thrilling ridge walks. There are plenty of hikes to choose from, and routes often include views of rushing waters, alpine meadows in full bloom or stunning glaciers.

As a bonus, Kicking Horse is close to Yoho, Kootenay, Glacier and Mount Revelstoke national parks, providing easy access to the parks’ famed hiking and mountaineering routes.

The resort is also home to memorable mountain biking trails built for riders of all abilities. Take the gondola to the mountaintop and then descend on a 1,128-m/3,700-ft, stomach-defying, extraordinary ride to the bottom. There are two trail systems at the base of the mountain for cross-country riding enthusiasts. All trails are packed dirt and gravel.
