The BC Accelerator Program is designed to help BC tourism businesses with limited experience in the travel trade gain valuable insights and connections. Over three days in Kelowna, participants will receive tailored export training and direct access to global travel trade specialists through a live marketplace activation. This pilot event offers a unique opportunity to refine strategies, showcase offerings, and establish key industry relationships.

Sellers Opportunities & Considerations

The BC Accelerator Program offers a valuable opportunity for market-ready businesses to reach export-ready status. Sellers will receive:

  • Pre-event Education & Training: Support to become export and trade-ready.
  • Marketplace Booth: One set of appointments to meet with buyers and overseas partners.
  • Exposure: Networking events with buyers.

 

Participation Considerations:

  • Travel & Accommodations: Sellers must arrange and cover their own travel to and accommodations in Kelowna.
  • Time Commitment: Sellers must engage in the Seller’s Education Plan to become export and travel trade ready.
  • Insurance: Participants are responsible for arranging any necessary insurance related to their travel, for this event.

 

Conference Accommodation Updates:

We are actively working to secure industry rates for hotels and potential airline partners to ensure our delegates have access to affordable travel options.

Registration

Sellers must register to confirm their intent to attend the event. Registration is now open.

  • Early Bird: Before July 15: $400
  • Regular: July 16 – September 15: $500
  • Late: September 16 – October 10, 2025 – $600
  • Registration Closes after October 10, 2025 or until spots are sold out.

 

Additional delegates:

Due to limited capacity, we kindly ask each organization to register one delegate for the marketplace. However, recognizing the high level of interest in adding a second participant, Destination BC is currently exploring ways to accommodate additional delegates. Please note that while we are exploring options, we cannot guarantee that additional delegates will be permitted. Further details will be shared as they become available.

Cancellation Notice:

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] by Monday, September 15, 2025.

Refund Policy:

For cancellations received on or before midnight (PT) on Monday, September 15, 2025, Destination BC shall refund 100% of the registration payment. *Please note, the platform processing fees are not refundable.

  • Cancellations received after Monday, September 15, 2025 the entire payment shall be forfeited.
  • No-shows are not eligible for refunds.

 

Transfer of Registration:

Registrations may be transferred to another representative within your organization at no additional cost, pending approval by Destination BC. Transfer requests must be submitted in writing and include the full contact details of the replacement participant to [email protected].

Event Changes or Cancellation by Destination BC:

Destination BC reserves the right to modify event details or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be notified as soon as possible and full refunds will be issued for any registration fees paid.

Insurance:

Participants are responsible for arranging any necessary insurance related to their travel for this event.

Education Series

Enhance your knowledge through the Working with Travel Trade video series in our Learning Centre, where sellers can build key industry expertise.

This summer, we are excited to introduce a new module, How to Pitch, which will provide essential strategies for presenting offerings effectively.

Completing this training is mandatory for all sellers attending, allowing you to work at your own pace while strengthening your skills and supporting your business growth.
