The Doukhobor Discovery Centre is a rare heritage attraction nestled near the confluence of the Kootenay and Columbia rivers. This museum, on traditional orchard land, will introduce you to the unique skills, beliefs, culture and lifestyle of the Doukhobors as was lived circa 1908-1939.

This complete communal village offers videos, thousands of artifacts, the communal house with petch (oven), the banya (sauna), linen textiles and other crafts. The Village Gift Shop features art displays, Doukhobor arts & crafts and sells CDs, books, videos and cards.

The Village Market (the blue building) is host to The Apple Guy who sells fresh produce and locally made borshch. The Village Bistro Restaurant is currently closed while the society is fundraising to renovate it.
