Customers can rest assured that they are supporting the local economy due to the fact that 80% of each vendor's wares must be made locally to be sold at the Downtown Local Market. Takes place 400 block of Baker Street in downtown Nelson, every Wednesday from 10am to 4pm.

The festival returns to downtown Proctor with many of the storytellers from the past returning. The list includes Joshua Klassen, East Shore historian Susan Hulland, Barry Gray and Ktunaxa teller, Joe Pierre as well as Gunpowder Gertie's creator Carolyn McTaggart and Doukhobor teller.

Sunday's festivities will travel to the 300 block of Baker Street, Nelson (between Kootenay and Stanley). There will be a stage, free music and stories, a Children's activity tent, a First Nations camp and, of course, our storytelling venues: The Royal Hotel (an adults only site), The Kootenay Exchange and The Vienna Café.
