There's no need to go to Alaska or the Yukon to experience dogsledding.

There are memorable dogsledding excursions just two hours north of Vancouver in Whistler. Mush through the snow-covered forests of the Callaghan Valley on guided tours.

Under ideal conditions, guides give guests the opportunity to drive the sled and learn the commands. Or just sit back in the sled and relax.

It is not uncommon to encounter wildlife on these picturesque tours (typically around 3 hours). Guests are advised to dress in layers and bring gloves and goggles if they have them. A light snack is usually provided.
