Always held on the first weekend in December, the Whistler Film Fest embraces the wintery mountain ski resort setting. A Celebrity Challenge ski race is part of the festival entertainment, which also includes celebrations, tributes, awards, and a free outdoor screening.
Whistler Children's Art Festival
The Whistler Children's Art Festival gives kids a chance to express creativity in a weekend at Whistler Creekside (held annually in July). Musicians and children's entertainers create a lively atmosphere for budding artists to try fine arts, crafts, theatre, multi-media, dance and music. This popular event has been held for more than 25 years.
