Resort spas and wellness resorts just outside the city provide the opportunity for a relaxing weekend getaway.
Some Victoria spas are receiving rave reviews: Willow Stream Spa at The Fairmont Empress was named “One of the Top 5 Spas in Canada” by Conde Nast Traveler (2010) and Frommer’s guidebook called Essence of Life Spa at Brentwood Bay Resort “the finest Resort Spa on the West Coast.”

Short on time? Urban Oasis Spa at Executive House Hotel has express spa treatments (60 minutes or less) designed for time-challenged spa-goers. This is also Victoria’s only hotel medi-spa and offers treatments like Botox and fillers.
On the scenic Saanich Peninsula, a short drive north of Victoria, is Haven Spa at Sidney Pier Hotel, named a "Top 50 Spas of 2010" by Spas of America web-guide.
