Vernon is a world-class cross-country ski destination, and that's no boast. National teams and Olympic medallists come to Silver Star Mountain Resort to train. But don't be intimidated. Early snow and excellent conditions get the season off to a quick start. At around 1,664m/5,500ft elevation, trails are usually sunny, bright and clear of valley cloud. Moderate average temperatures (-5°C/23°F), excellent grooming and beautiful scenery make it a memorable experience for everyone, from novices to elite athletes.

Classic skiers, skate skiers, Nordic tourers and telemarkers can glide through the forest or tackle challenging climbs and descents over steep terrain. With two venues located next to each other (Silver Star Mountain Resort and Sovereign Lake) and offering combined tickets, there's plenty of variety on more than 100km/60mi of trails.
