Vancouver’s historic University Golf Club, with towering old-growth trees, was established in 1929 on the endowment lands adjacent to the University of British Columbia.
Across the Fraser River in Richmond is Les Furber’s Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club. This club has a distinctive design – water features exist at almost every hole.

Golf by Vancouver's Mountains
Looking for a truly iconic West Coast setting? Furry Creek Golf & Country Club overlooks the pristine waters of Howe Sound from the base of the Coast Mountains and is just a 40-minute drive north of Vancouver. Planning a Golf Trip
- The golf season runs approximately from April to October, though the city’s mild climate enables many courses to stay open all year long.
- Tee times should be booked in advance of arrival, especially in July and August.
- Many courses have a dress code in effect, so check ahead with the course or resort.
