A musical comedy sure to tempt your taste buds from the twisted mind of Trey Parker of South Park and Book of Mormon fame! A singin', dancin', flesh eatin' toe tapper! It's the story of the sole survivor of an ill-fated trip through the Rockies, who was searching for gold and love. He and his companions lost their way and resorted to unthinkable horrors with music! It includes a human campfire, a tribe of Amazon war princesses, a multi-media format with animation, a giant Cyclops, a massive saloon fight, the classic "Shpadoinkle" and "Hang the Bastard" musical numbers, offensive language, a human horse, and of course a healthy helping of gore and cheese.

The Dance Centre's 2014-2015 Global Dance Connections contemporary dance series opens with the world-renowned Ballet Preljocaj. Created by the company's celebrated French choreographer Angelin Preljocaj, Empty moves (parts I, II & III) is set to the infamous 1977 recording of John Cage's Empty words, when the minimalist composer calmly intoned radically abstracted text to an uncomprehending and increasingly raucous audience. Preljocaj's choreographic response creates an ode to the abstract which exults in pure movement, as a quartet of superb dancers executes a flow of inexhaustible movement with absolute precision and technical skill. Spare, contemplative and sensual, this absorbing work unfolds as an elegant counterpoint to the turbulent score.

Art and science collide in QUANTUM, an exciting new work by Swiss choreographer Gilles Jobin inspired by his residency at the largest particle physics laboratory in the world - CERN in Geneva. Six outstanding dancers power through intricate, densely textured choreography to explore the subtle balances of the forces that shape our world: matter, gravity, time and space. The work is illuminated by acclaimed German artist Julius von Bismarck's kinetic installation of suspended industrial lamps which are activated by the movement of the dancers, and American composer Carla Scaletti's electronic score incorporates data from the Large Hadron Collider. QUANTUM epitomizes the adventurous, searching spirit of both artistic and scientific inquiry.
