Shinsuke Minegishi is an artist-printmaker who excels in the process of creating wood engravings and original bookworks that weave personal and collective narratives with subtle, unique, complementary and imaginative imagery. Shifting Margins: Emily Carr and Irene Hoffar Reid exhibits works by two BC artists and selected archival materials surrounding their life and work. Engaging a discussion around the marginalisation and mythification of certain artists, this exhibition considers aspects such as gender, geographic location, subject matter and time period in the creation of art historical narratives.
