This premiere race of the Pacific Northwest showcases three overnight race courses (80, 103 & 139 nautical miles) & one long-day race course.

The event is for monohulls & multihulls of every size. There are single, double handed & fully crewed divisions to choose from.

With the start line off Victoria BC's beautiful waterfront & racing in the Strait of Juan de Fuca with its beautiful coastline & challenging winds & currents, it is a must for all sailors young & old.

Coupled with the party atmosphere around Victoria's Inner Harbour, this is an event that isn't to be missed.

The Telus Van Isle 360 yacht race is a 580 nautical mile race circumnavigating wild & rugged Vancouver Island.

The race is run in a series of 10 legs & includes both inshore, offshore & overnight legs through some of the most challenging & beautiful waters on the planet.

The timing for the entire race is dictated by the currents through Seymour Narrows (just north of Campbell River). Seymour Narrows has some of the strongest currents in the world, at times reaching 16 knots. A northbound ebb early in the day through this area determines the dates for the race.

Ahoy mateys! For one magical day young & old alike gather together at Maffeo Sutton Park to enjoy one of Nanaimo's Premiere events: the Silly Boat Regatta. The event includes boat building, free fun family activities, face painting, crafts, games, a sports zone, music, Coast Capital Savings Wally's World, a children's regatta & of course, the main grand championship regatta.

This spectacular day full of fun, camaraderie & of course, silly antics is a fundraiser for the Nanaimo Child Development Centre.

Nanaimo is famous for its love of quirky fun, which truly kicked off in 1967 when a former mayor of Nanaimo famously donned a pirate costume, raised his sword & launched Nanaimo's first bathtub race. "Tubbers" & visitors from around the world have been coming to Nanaimo for more than 40 years to take part in this now world famous recreational festival & race, which includes three days of exciting Island-style summer celebrations. 2013 will be the 36th Victoria Classic Boat Festival. The Victoria Classic Boat Festival is a juried event that has been held in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada for 36years. The Festival attracts the finest power, sail, & steam boats from the Pacific Northwest & around the world. A number of the vessels will be open to the public over the weekend in addition to the activity of the smaller boats, motor & steam running around the harbour. The Sunday morning Sailpast is always a great spectacle.
